I graduated from Beloit College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health & Society and Theater Arts. I have a passion for travel and foreign languages. While in college, I spent a summer in Costa Rica and an exchange semester in Argentina. After graduating from college I lived in Switzerland for 9 months. There, I tutored private clients in ESL, while also sharpening my French and German language skills.I worked as a peer tutor at my college's tutoring center for four years and I was also a Teaching Assistant for 3 college classes.I have always been a passionate learner and I love encouraging the students that I work with to have that same passion. No matter how difficult the subject matter, you can always find something in the material to get excited about, and that's when real learning happens. I strongly believe that flexibility is a tutor's most important asset. I work with each student to figure out what approaches work best for him or her.Outside of teaching, I am passionate about theater, yoga, running, baking, trapeze and aerial acrobatics.

I believe what makes me a great tutor is my considerable patience, as I know that French can be an almost-nonsensical language to learn at times, but also that it is possible to master it with time and a lot of practice. I am originally from Edison, New Jersey and a graduate of John P. Stevens High School. At Syracuse, I am the lead undergraduate researcher in the Public Affairs department, an executive board member of multiple student organizations, and of course succeed academically. I spent every summer working at summer camps, where I helped teach science and art history. In college, I tutored French and American Politics.I believe that teaching material to others is the best way to learn. Tutoring has been a steady side-gig for me in Italy, France, Portugal, Germany, and The Netherlands. I am also a massive language learning fan and I guess that because it made me more marketable, I have actually held tutoring sessions in at least five languages; I know what I'm doing.My MO is pretty simple: we meet, we discuss your motivations and expectations, I come up with a plan, we tweak it together, and then we are off to the races.

I received my Diploma from George School in Newtown, Pennsylvania. I am currently working towards my Bachelor's in Psychology and French from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. I am hoping to get a PhD in Social Psychology. I have worked as a Statistics tutor with students at my college. Outside from tutoring, I am very involved with social activism on my campus and am constantly practicing my skills in public speaking and event planning. The summer after I graduated college, I traveled to Salzburg, Austria for an internship at the Global Citizenship Alliance where I worked with college students and college faculty on strengthening their leadership skills. While at Duke, I worked with refugees in the community through the Refugee Health Initiative, as a health counselor and French translator. I am most passionate about helping students achieve their personal goals and find seeing improvement in test scores and writing skills over time to be very rewarding. I am patient, dedicated, and determined, and will do all I can to teach you what I know. In my spare time I enjoy weight lifting, yoga, baking, reading, and playing with my cat.

I have resided in France, the UK, Germany and in the USA since 1996. I have worked in sales management most of my career.I am now a dual French/USA citizen. I enjoy French culture very much and love to share that passion with others.
