I have been tutoring numerous subjects for over 10 years. I completed my bachelors in Chemistry at Syracuse University, my masters in Business Administration from University at Buffalo, and my masters in Food Science from Kansas State University. I currently work as a project manager and have maintained my PMP certification for the past 4 years and have obtained the Google Project Management Certification. I have also earned my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and am currently working on my Agile Certified Practitioner certification.

I would like to use my engineering background to help empower students. In addition, I have been teaching for a year now. This has included different cultures and age groups which will enrich the student's learning experience. I have taught reading, grammar, science and math to 5 years old to 18 years old plus professionals over the age of 20. I am certified as a TEFL instructor.
I teach 4th grade. My favorite subject to teach is math and I can't wait to help you. I am so excited to get to know you. I love getting to meet and work with kids.
As a Spanish teacher in Kansas with a Bachelors in Theatre and Modern Languages, I've taught students K-16+ at various levels of interest, ability, rigor, and special needs. I have two distinct styles of tutoring - coaching and instructional support, though I am able to provide whatever you might need! I take on the role of a coach for students or adults who are looking to learn a language for the first time, maintain or improve their skills, or are preparing for a practical exam such as a language proficiency test. For students who are currently enrolled in Spanish courses and want extra help, I can tailor my instruction to best supplement what their teacher is already doing in class - and provide them with leads on other resources or methods to help them succeed.I'm high-energy, passionate, and truly care about my students. I enjoy getting to know their interests and you'll regularly hear laughter coming from one of my tutoring sessions. I'd love to help you achieve your goals!
A little bit about me. I grew up in Veracruz, Mexico until I was five years old. My family moved to Kansas and enrolled me in Kindergarten two weeks later. I was fortunate to have a teacher that was patient and creative as she thought me the English language. Growing up in a bilingual household made me appreciate language and culture. I took formal Spanish courses throughout high-school and college. During college, I was a tutor in Finance, Economics and Spanish. Today, I continue to utilize my Spanish on a daily basis as a Multicultural Marketing Manager. Additionally, this past summer I took a ten week course on Spanish medical interpreting. Learning is a life-long process and a passion of mine.I'm available to tutor Spanish (academic & conversational). My teaching style is flexible based on your language needs and learning style (e.g., visual, auditory, etc.). I have experience in working with students across multiple age groups (i.e., elementary school through adult education). I think learning should be fun. I will work with you to understand your goals to make sure that we create the best customized learning plan. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in English Literature. During my time at Kansas State, I worked as a student tutor on subjects ranging from geology to French, and while pursuing my Master's degree, I taught Expository Writing to college students. While I am experienced with Writing and Language tutoring and enjoy teaching both, I am primarily a standardized test tutor with Varsity Tutors. Test prep combines the challenge of adapting to different learning styles with the high degree of reward that comes from helping a student raise his or her test scores and therefore open doors for that student, and for this reason, it is by far my favorite subject to tutor. I believe that an educator must first appreciate how each individual student approaches a new concept in order to understand the most effective means for that student to progress, and for this reason, I place the utmost importance on the student rather than the subject. When I am not tutoring or substitute teaching, I enjoy playing guitar, watching football and writing fiction.
I believe all students have the desire to learn new material, but sometimes they may need assistance in order to be more confident. I enjoy developing the relationships with the students I tutor and seeing their growth.I have over ten years experience teaching students at the high school level. I currently teach Algebra, Geometry, and AP Statistics. However, I have experience with all course up to Calc 3. My success rate is high and I pride myself on the relationships I form, the connections I am able to make, and the growth of my students.
I am passionate about helping students find what makes them feel successful, inside or outside of the classroom. I have experience in special education and law, have spent over a decade in the classroom, and love being able to share my experiences to help students build their own success toolkits for their future careers.
I graduated (PhD) in experimental Physics from Kansas State University. My several years of professional experience as an Instructor as well as a researcher have provided me with a broad view that is useful in assisting students with physics concepts and assignments. My teaching experience at the undergraduate level encompasses physics courses for engineering, science, and non-science majors. I got opportunities to teach intermediate as well as Bachelor level physics courses infusing innovative instructional strategies in a traditional lecture/laboratory format.I am very passionate about learning new concepts and principles of science and understand these principles in the context of the real-world situations. I want students to have that same passion so they can reach their true potential and not let academics stand in the way of a bright future. I believe the most valuable learning of physics comes when students are encouraged to solve problems using their own basic knowledge, understandings, and mathematical skills rather than being told to memorize a bunch of physics formulas or simply being given the answer. I believe the Socratic way of teaching: Instead of telling the answer directly; ask questions and more questions until students come up with their own answer. This is what I strive to do with all of my students. I tutor a broad range of science, but my strengths include physics and standard test of Physics which can make a huge impact upon a student's educational goals. My other hobbies include traveling, reading as well as running.
I am a graduate of Kansas State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in History with a minor in Political Science. After graduation I moved to the Northwest and worked for the Portland Trail Blazers living an hour from Mt. Hood and the Pacific coast was a wonderful experience.Continuing my passion for education, I returned to Lewis and Clark College pursuing my degree in Elementary Education. After graduation I had the privilege of teaching 5th grade for three years in the Kansas City Kansas Public School District. I thoroughly enjoyed learning with my students on a daily basis. I encouraged my students to always think critically and support their conclusions. I have tutored students in a variety of subjects such as: elementary and intermediate math, social studies, and reading. However, U.S. History is my passion!!! I love discussing Westward expansion, Constitutional Law, and 19th Century U.S. History to name a few. When discussing historical topics, investigating what happened and why it happened fosters understanding. Similar to working in the classroom, I encourage students to think critically about a subject and analyze it it from a variety of perspectives. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, learning about music, reading, writing poetry and watching college basketball.
