About Me

I have always enjoyed helping others understand class material especially math. I was frequently called upon to help my friends and classmates in high school. That is where I made the decision to become a teacher. Both my parents were teachers so, you could say, I am fulfilling the legacy. I am currently working towards a bachelors degree in middle level education at Illinois State University. Apart of my degree, I will receive certifications to teach science and mathematics at grades 5-8. I have been working with students throughout my time in college both large and small groups, as well as individual tutoring of 5th grade students. I do have a focus on the middle age range but I can help with any high school math and even into college level math. When tutoring, I find it important to really get to know the person's experiences so I can relate the material to them. Outside of academics, I love movies and TV shows. I am a huge country music fan.
