Yesterday we covered logarithms. We converted equations from exponential form into logarithmic form, as well as the other way around. We looked at the rules for adding and subtracting logs, as well as what it means when there is a constant multiplied by a log. We also went over common logs and how to put them in the calculator.

The student was prepared with questions from various sections she needed clarification on. We went over graphing inequalities and piecewise functions, operations with matrices, word problems dealing with modeling data, and using a graphing calculator to graph multiple functions. She had a good understanding of the concepts and only needed clarification on small details in order to fully understand. She was able to apply the knowledge I gave her to answer questions and was able to recall the information.

The student and I strictly worked on multiplication again yesterday. We worked on multiples of 8. This was a difficult one for her. I am still in the process of teaching her the difference and the meaning of what even and odd numbers are. That way, she will have a much better understanding of multiplication knowing that a multiple of 8 could never be an odd number. She has a very good attitude. I included many strategies and suggestions that may help her as always. I will see her today as we near the end of our multiplication journey.
