I am a motivated, eager, curious individual with a passion for helping others learn. I bring a diverse range of experiences with over 4 years of tutoring experience, including ACT, SAT, PSAT tutoring, college essay editing. I have also worked for 2 years with America Read America Counts, and spent summer of 2016 tutoring 12-18 year old girls in Cusco, Peru.

I'm currently an undergraduate at Yale University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English. While I am most passionate about English Literature, I tutor a wide range of subjects, including SAT and ACT Prep, High School Level Math, and French Language.

I am an undergraduate at Yale University. I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on fluid mechanics and energy conversion. I have tutoring experience from my senior year in high school, when I ran my own test prep and tutoring service for sophomores and juniors. Most of my experience is in SAT and ACT test prep, but I have also done tutoring in the maths and sciences and English composition. While I am a Mechanical Engineering major, I have always had a profound appreciation for great literature and for writing good English, and I would love to pass that along to all of my students. Whenever I tutor, my main objective is not simply to plant more knowledge in the student's mind, but to give them a greater understanding of broader fields of inquiry, so that they reach a greater understanding of how the different academic domains are connected and interdependent. Outside of academics, I am a Midshipman in the Navy ROTC program at my school and hope to someday serve as a Submarine Officer in the Pacific. I am also a member of the Yale Glee Club, the Yale Club Soccer Team, and the Freshmen Outdoor Orientation Trip program at Yale. In my spare time, I enjoy running marathons, learning songs on the piano, and reading.

I am an Environmental Engineering major at Cornell University. I am incredibly passionate about sustainability and I enjoy mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Apart from Environmental Engineering, I am interested in Aerospace Engineering and Architecture, and I plan to pursue a minor in both of these fields. Outside of school, I hike and play golf for fun, but I also tutor several students. In high school, I worked at Kumon Learning Center and assisted students with their math and reading coursework. I am also currently a tutor for the STEP program at Cornell, where I teach middle school and high school students chemistry and mathematics. I am very comfortable tutoring in various STEM subjects (i.e. calculus, algebra, geometry, chemistry, physics, environmental science), and I enjoy tutoring sessions with students very much.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in violin performance at the Juilliard School. I have tutored privately and through Chegg Tutoring, Varsity Tutors, PrepExpert, and iLearn World throughout high school and college, with most of my experience being in standardized test prep and English. The most fulfilling moments that I have with my students are when I see them applying previous lessons and skills to new challenges. I believe that a good teacher not only helps a student tackle specific, formulaic kinds of questions, but also imparts the skills necessary for adapting to the diverse intellectual challenges that life presents. My goal is always for my students to leave their sessions having learned something that will be useful for years to come, not just on the next test that they are preparing for. After all, education is a lifelong process!

I am currently a rising Senior at Rice University from Alexandria, Virginia. I'm studying Political Science and Latin American Studies with a minor in Politics, Law and Social Thought. After I graduate I hope to go to law school to become an immigration lawyer.

I'm a recent college graduate with degrees in Biological Sciences and Russian from Ohio University. During my time there, I tutored students in a variety of subjects, including biology, chemistry, and Spanish. In addition, I worked as both a peer advisor and teaching assistant, which gives me insight into the learning strategies and study skills that students need to succeed. As a tutor, I like to focus on doing actual problems with students because it is the most effective way to immediately identify their strengths and weaknesses and to address them. In my free time, I like to lift weights, read books, and spend time with my friends. Hobbies: books, music, art, reading, writing

I am a 2019 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where I received a dual degree BFA in Vocal Performance and BA in Creative Writing. I also achieved a GPA of 3.92, 3 semesters on the Dean's List, induction into Phi Beta Kappa as well as Sigma Tau Delta (the English honors society) and Pi Kappa Lambda (the Music honors society), Carnegie Mellon University Honors, and Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences Honors. I graduated Bloomfield Hills High School with a 3.96 GPA in 2015, and was a National Merit Finalist as well as a Presidential Scholarship candidate, thanks to my top test scores.

I'm a rising senior at Yale University. My two main passions in life are biology and English--people might see them as completely opposite subjects, but I think they're just two sides of the same coin! As a tutor, I believe that flexibility and personalization are key. Above all, my goal is to help people not just do well in their assignments but also truly understand the material.
