Specifically I've tutored everything from elementary subjects to college level Calculus. Currently I am an Accountant for the state of Oklahoma. I also genuinely do know the real life applications for the lessons a student will learn in math because I utilize those lessons on a daily basis. Ultimately the truth is I have always seemed to have a way to break down topics in my head in such a way that I could explain the concepts to anyone. My favorite example of this is when I would teach my high school AP Calculus homework to my step-sister who happened to be in the 5th grade at the time. She wanted to know how to do what I was doing, so I taught her. She loved it, and she still tells me the reason she ultimately decided to become an Architect was because she never forgot how much she loved telling her classmates that she learned how to do Calculus in the 5th grade! Now while I can't guarantee every person I tutor will grow to love to school as much as me, I will guarantee everyone I tutor will appreciate the subject for what it is and gain both the tools and the confidence needed to be as successful as he/she wants to be in that subject!
