About Me

I am a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education and am certified to teach grades 4-8 with specific concentration in both Science and English. I previously taught 8th grade Science and 6th grade Science and Social Studies. However, I also have experience with tutoring students ranging from grades 1-6 through working at an After School Program. In addition, I volunteered to edit high school students' college admissions essays throughout my college career. Teaching is one of my greatest passions and I believe in making learning both fun and challenging. Hands-on, inquiry-based lessons are at the center of my teaching practice. I create engaging lessons that fit a student's needs and enable them to experience success. While I am qualified to tutor all subjects in grades 1-8, I especially love Science and English. It is my goal to helps students find their own love of learning so that they may be motivated to overcome any difficulties. Beyond teaching and tutoring, I love to spend time with family and friends. I also love to cook and enjoy eating even more! To counter my love for food, I enjoy running, yoga, and any fun outdoor activity!
