I love teaching students because I love how creative students can be when it comes to solving problems. I graduated with my Associate in Science from Houston Community College and I am currently going to Unity College for my B.S. in Marine Biology. I currently work as an ESL para for 7th and 8th graders. I will be tutoring all math and reading up until high school. I personally love tutoring math more because even though it can be a tricky subject but I am known for looking at problems through a new angle and try and creating new ways on how to solve the problem.

French is my primary language. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education with major in French and Linguistics. I earned a Masters Degree in Modern Language and Literature with major in French.I have taught French in a French Speaking Country for 13 years.I have experience working with Students from High School to College levels or any ages.I teach all levels of French language.In United States, I have been teaching, French since 2004.I work with any person who would like to improve his/her reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

I have been a high school educator for ten years and am especially interested in helping students to learn communication skills in English, German and other languages. I received a BA from Northwestern College, Watertown, WI and a masters from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. I am the World Language department chair at my school and teach all four levels of German, and also have experience in teaching high school Latin as well. My German students who have gone on to college German have consistently tested into higher levels of the program. I also have extensive classroom experience in helping students become better readers and writers in English. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and playing sports, exercise and writing.

As a long-time tutor and mentor, it is my goal all of my tutees leave feeling confident with their abilities, without the feeling of needing to rely on others for answers. This is done through discussing global issues around fulling understanding a subject and writing, and not through fast rule-based corrections. I am here to offer my students the tools they will craft themselves with my guidance as a coach, leaving with newfound knowledge, personal development, and academic success. Many of the skills that I teach translate to many other areas of life as well. The only prerequisite would be for my students to be willing to allow me to help them help themselves; this requires a strong commitment for personal growth. From General Biology and Chemistry, through Genetics, Molecular Biology, and much more!Like many other students, I experienced the struggles of trying to understanding difficult concepts. Many years later, I have now mastered the difficult material, and I am ready to convey it to you!Together, we will do whatever it takes to reach your goals. We can utilize different learning methods such as visualization, conversation, problem solving, and conceptualization. We can focus directly on your problem areas, or take a step back and look at the big picture. As a double major in Biochemistry and Neuroscience, I don't only know the material, but I also understand how it is learned best. My objective is to make you comfortable enough to tutor the subject yourself!Outside of tutoring, I enjoy activities such as hiking and running. I also research Alzheimer's and Diabetes in lab rats!I practice healthy lifestyle habits from eating well, to exercise and good sleep. I am a recent graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio holding a BA in Drama and Chinese Area Studies. I come from a family of creative educators. I have experience teaching and mentoring writing, reading, Chinese language, and English language immersion for native Chinese speakers. I love working one-on-one with young people to develop their academic skills while also giving them an example of supportive interpersonal interaction.

My job as a tutor is therefore to put myself out of a job. Whether we're conducting some side-by-side pair computer programming, or discussing high level concepts in object-oriented software design, or reviewing the formulaic steps to solve the quadratic equation, we seek the "A-ha!" moment where the student achieves a breakthrough in his or her thinking about the subject matter, about their potential for success, and therefore about themselves.

I have a Masters Degree in Adult Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and a Bachelors Degree from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. My experience in tutoring spans from Elementary school to college/adult students. I was also hired as an English-Speaking Teacher by the Korean government (SOME) in Seoul, S. Korea. I have had the privilege of meeting students from every walk of life and I am forever grateful for that. Yet, my expertise in tutoring is NOT limited to my education and teaching experience. I have learned also from my experiences during my early high school years. I didnt take education seriously and thus I didnt think I could learn. However, as I progressed up the Education ladder and attained my Masters Degree, I made a promise to myself and to those I have taught and will teach, that I will teach with an understanding and compassion for the learner who can learn, but who may not have the confidence. The truth is, everyone can learn. Its just that sometimes we need help discovering that we can accomplish more than we think.

I am currently a second year undergraduate student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. I have tutored/worked with students in subjects such as math, science, and reading since early high school and later on I tutored for ACT prep. I don't really have a favorite subject to tutor since I believe they are all equally as fun and important! I also believe that each student has certain beliefs, expectations, and learning styles that should be respected no matter what. I look forward to working with you!

I have quite a bit of experience in tutoring both younger students mostly in math and English as well as my peers throughout college when they needed assistance with some of our difficult courses. In teaching I like to observe my students' best method of learning and use that to their advantage. I like to be hands-on and approach my students on their level of learning.
