I am an undergraduate student at Harvard University! I am studying history and linguistics, and plan to teach English abroad for a few years post-graduation. Though I enjoy tutoring a wide range of subjects, I have the most experience helping students with their writing. I would love to help you improve your writing skills in general, or to look at specific essays or papers. I also enjoy tutoring English/ Language Arts more broadly, including ESL, and math. I do hold a TEFL certificate. I try to keep lessons with students interesting, because I think it's really hard to learn when you don't enjoy what you're learning! I hope to work with you to develop lesson plans that are curated to your goals and interests.

I'm not tutoring, I spend my time writing and performing spoken word poetry, riding my bike around Boston, and learning to cook.
I am a good "fit" for that student, so that we are able to work together to reach the student's goal.
I am a sophomore at Harvard University pursuing a concentration in computer science. I'm also interested in potentially going on to law school after my undergraduate studies. I have a wide range of interests but I spend most of my free time either reading, painting, listening to music or dragging my friends to interesting locations to take photographs. My favorite book genre is psychological thrillers and I like listening and singing along to almost all types of music.
I'm Scotty! I am currently a senior at Harvard College pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a secondary (minor) in Theater, Dance, and Media. I know full well that struggling with course material is tricky to navigate; I have not always felt comfortable going straight to the professor or teacher to ask for help. That's why I love tutoring - I aim to be a helpful resource for students, blending the toughness of a coach with the warmth and comfort of a friend to provide the best atmosphere for those I tutor.
I am a Sophomore at Harvard University studying Sociology and Education, originally from New York City. I've been preparing students for high school and college admissions for over 5 years now, and take an immense amount of pride and joy in my work of getting students to their goal institutions. Along the way, I've helped students improve their performance in a variety of core subject areas, along with boosting scores on the SAT and SHSAT, and college application and essay writing. Hope to be able to serve you the best I can in getting you to where you want to be in your classes and beyond!
I am a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Devices and a Bachelor of Science in Music. I have tutored students from the elementary school level to my current peer group. I have experience tutoring through MIT's Seminar XL and Tutorial Services Room programs in core subjects required for graduation (general chemistry, physics, calculus, multivariable calculus, and biology). I have also tutored students in SAT exam preparation for the past three years. Knowledge is an equalizer, and I firmly believe in paying my knowledge forward. I tutor a wide range of subjects, but my main passions are physics and math. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful physics professor who turned physics into a way of viewing the world around me with a renewed sense of curiosity. I enjoy being able to spark this love of physics in my students, and as a consequence also sparking a love in mathematics, a necessary companion to physics. I also enjoy helping students prepare for the SAT because it is a test where practice makes perfect. Seeing a student gain confidence and start growing in knowledge is a very satisfying experience. Outside of academics my extra-curriculars and hobbies include: classical piano, EMS, swimming, 3D printing, and medical devices.
I am a MIT undergrad studying Materials Science and Engineering with minors in Economics and Japanese. I was a TA for Physics II: Electricity and Magnetism at MIT, and I tutored in math and science in high school. I scored a perfect score on the SAT Math section twice, and have taken 11 AP tests with an average score of 4.7. I believe the best way to learn math is through challenging problems, and gaining confidence in yourself when you find that you understand those problems. I am passionate about learning, and I hope I can share that passion with you!
I am an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I have tutored students since my early high school years. I've had experience instructing and guiding a variety of students, from young middle schoolers taking their first steps into the world of computer programming to my own peers struggling with their calculus exams. Over the past year alone, I've worked with over 30 students, spending several hours each day to help them stay up to speed on their schoolwork. I specialize in many areas of math as well as computer science, biology and physics. When tutoring students, I draw on my own experience with learning the material to identify and address the obstacles they face. I believe that promoting a deeper level of understanding of the subject, as opposed to merely teaching to the test or problem set, will enable students to excel in the long-term.
I'm Cindy! I'm a freshman at Harvard University and graduated from San Mateo High School this past year. I love to teach and have years tutoring students of all ages in a variety of subjects. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would like to schedule a tutoring session!
Hello, I hold two soon-to-be three Ivy League degrees, an undergrad and graduate degree from the University of Pennslyvania and I am currently getting a second Masters from Harvard in Education Leadership. I know what it takes to write an essay or application to get into your dream school and specialize in college application support. I guarantee if your student has a complete essay draft we can polish it in a single two-hour session. Additionally, I am a licensed elementary school teacher with a Master's in elementary education I have educational experience as a kindergarten teacher, second-grade reading tutor, and college readiness tutor. I am skilled in reading and math help in the lower grades K-2 for children who need support in those subjects.
I'm an MIT undergrad studying Urban Planning. I loved math in science in school, but know that it can be frustrating and easy to dislike when taught in a way that is difficult to understand, or when it seems useless and pointless to learn. My goal is to get students not only to perform well in these subjects, but to fully comprehend and enjoy them.
