About Me

I am a current fourth-year student at Framingham State University with the goal of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in History with minors in Anthropology and Diversity Studies. I am also in the Commonwealth Honors Program. In previous academic semesters, I was a supplemental instructor for a Liberal Studies course, which focused on writing a long-form research paper. In this position, I aided the professor in lectures and held office hours of my own, where I answered students' questions regarding all of the aspects of writing a research paper, including how to find sources, which sources are acceptable, and how to format a paper. Following this position, I acted as the History and Liberal Studies tutor for my college. In both of these positions, I was reminded of how much I love to help students, tutoring or otherwise. Nothing makes me happier than having a student tell me that my help aided them in obtaining a great grade! I am very passionate about education and about helping people, and tutoring truly blends both of these passions. For my support and dedication to the FSU History department, I was awarded the James D. Linsley Award for Service to the History Department this past semester. My favorite subjects to tutor are history and English, as I am most passionate about and have taken the most classes in the humanities. When I tutor, I like to be casual and help students understand their work from a fellow student's point of view. I want them to be comfortable and feel like they can ask me questions and aid me in tutoring them in whatever way works best for them. In my free time, I love participating in theatre (whether on stage on watching it from the audience), reading, taking walks, and spending quality time with loved ones.
