I graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in June 2020. I received a Classical diploma, a prestigious distinction awarded to a handful of students upon completion of a rigorous Latin and Ancient Greek curriculum. At Exeter, I volunteered as a Teaching Assistant at the Main Street Elementary School. I worked in a 1st grade classroom where I helped the kids with math, reading and spelling. Since graduation, I've been taking pre-med classes online and virtually homeschooling kids 5-16 years old in Math and English. Between my classes and teaching, I discovered I love math and now intend to pursue the subject further in college next year. As someone who spent her childhood intimidated by STEM subjects, I understand the importance of creating a kind, positive and high energy learning environment for students.In addition to Math, I am also happy to tutor reading and writing, as well as proofread. The study of Classical languages provides a unique understanding of language, writing, and grammar that nothing else really can. I've been editing for years and love doing it!

I am a teacher and I have taught at elementary and middle schools in Boston for 4 years. I have tutored for over 7 years! I majored in education at Boston College. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know students and creating course materials that engage students to make learning fun and accessible. I mainly tutor math and Chinese. I believe that each student is fully capable of understanding material. It just depends on how the material is presented to them. Upon graduating from Spelman, I obtained a Masters of Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. In January of 2022, I began my academic quest as a scholar-practitioner in Vanderbilt University's Leadership and Learning in Organizations (LLO) doctoral program. Since 2022, I have completed my doctoral studies and have been invited to join leading institutions in the UAE, China, and beyond!Literacy (English Language Arts) and foreign Languages are my passions. I am bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish fluently! As a world traveler, this skill has been extremely useful, especially for my regular travels to Spain, Cuba, and other Spanish-speaking countries. I am a certified Middle School Humanities educator for grades 5-8 and have been tutoring learners from the elementary level all the way to the graduate level since 2015! I am committed to my students' growth and success and strive to give them a personalized learning experience in which they can see their growth and emerge as confident scholars.I am a firm believer in assessing students' individual needs and challenging them to challenge themselves through inquiry, practice, and hands-on learning. I'm a recent graduate of Suffolk University with a BS in Physics and a minor in Philosophy. Looking to go to grad school in January or next September and have taken the GRE (preping to take the specialized Physics GRE in October). Math has always been somewhat intuitive for me, but once I got to college I knew I needed additional help. I know how much an outside perspective can help solve a frustrating problem and understand how important patience is in learning concepts that are somewhat difficult to grasp.Love being active, biking around Boston, and tackling some of math's harder monsters.

I'm a lifelong music lover and have been playing guitar and singing for 15 years, including in several bands. I also have several years of experience with audio engineering and playing other rock related instruments consisting of drum kit, bass guitar, and keyboards. I'm excited to share my passion for music and knowledge of it with others through lessons.

I am a second year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine. I have lived in Boston for about a year, but am originally from Orlando, Florida. I resided in Gainesville, Florida while I was getting my degree in Nutritional Science at the University of Florida. After graduating, I moved to Austin, Texas and completed a year of AmeriCorps. As an AmeriCorps member I was responsible for leading an after school science program, an opportunity that allowed me to create hands-on creative lessons and gain more experience tutoring and teaching.I tutored as an undergrad, and I absolutely love science (and math too!) I have taken a multitude of science courses as an undergrad and throughout medical school and feel very comfortable with most science based subject areas.

I just finished up a graduate program and moved to Boston, where I am currently interning and pondering the next step in my career. I am a self-proclaimed "audio nerd" and do freelance work within sound design and audio production. I really enjoy the intricacies of language and would be very interested in delving into a graduate/doctorate program in German Studies eventually, as I have a BA in German from Bates College. Right now, I am studying for the GRE and applying to other grad programs in that area.I have enjoyed working with and mentoring children and young adults all of my life. Throughout high school and college I spent my summers working at summer camps, with children aged 6-16. Most recently I worked at AYF Merrowvista in the summer of 2014, where I led teenagers on adventure trips throughout New England. I particularly enjoy mentoring and watching children grow into their identities as they grow up and would really relish the opportunity to help your child not only develop their skills as a student but grow into a personable and confident young adult.

I am a sophomore at Brandeis University located in Waltham, MA. I am currently majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Statistics and am on a Pre-Med track.
