I’m currently a rising senior and Presidential Merit Scholar at the University of Southern California. I’m studying biomedical engineering and planning on combining my interests in technology and medicine in my aspirations of becoming a physician.Nonetheless, education and mentorship is a huge part of my life. Throughout my entire college career, I’ve been teaching grades ranging from 3rd grade to high school about subjects ranging from life sciences, physics, and engineering concepts. I’ve also gone through my fair share of standardized testing ranging from the PSAT to the MCAT and really believe I’ve come to learn the tips and tricks you need to succeed on such tests. I do my best to devote my time to things I enjoy!I am a recent graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where I received my B.F.A. in Drama with a minor in Applied Theatre. During my time at NYU, I studied at the Atlantic Acting School and the Experimental Theatre Wing, sang in a choir called Drama Cantorum, and co-founded a nationally-ranked improv team called Captain Soldier. I also spent an unforgettable semester abroad at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Nowadays, I work with a theatre company called Grey Room NYC and a non-profit organization called Leave Out Violence. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing and watching basketball (Go Bulls!), enjoying funny television shows (Louie is my favorite), and playing music (guitar & piano).I consider myself blessed to have a creative mind and spirit; I always endeavor to bring this creativity into anything I do. I am a big proponent of thinking outside the box. In tutoring, my motto is "teach a student to fish and they possess improved test-taking skills for a lifetime." I love working with elementary and middle school students, but also have the knowledge and skills to tutor high school students in AP classes and standardized tests. I scored a 35 on my ACT (36 math, 35 english, 35 science, 33 reading), a 770 on the Math II SAT subject test and a 780 on the Chemistry SAT subject test. In high school, I took AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and Multivariable Calculus, and scored a 5 on every AP exam. In addition to specific subject matter, I am highly knowledgable on the college process and know how to strategize to get into your dream school!
