About Me

A Harvard graduate with a Masters in Teaching from RELAY GSE, I have been an educator for almost 15 years, most of that time with Uncommon Schools, one of the country's premier charter school networks. To me, there is nothing nobler than encouraging and coaching kids to be successful, along the way building scholarly habits that will last a lifetime. I have always prided myself on taking responsibility for my students' growth and achievement, and taking that responsibility personally! While I am able to tutor a broad range of subjects, and across a wide-range of grade-levels, I am most proud of and most passionate about my work in literacy. Creating a joyful community of reading and writing - whether for an entire school, or for a small group - has provided me with my greatest sense of accomplishment (and my fondest memories!) Literacy is the KEY to unlocking future success in all subjects, and in all endeavors, and I've long been proud of the growth my students have consistently demonstrated over the years. Just this past year, the small-group pod I was leading showed TWO years of growth in reading levels - thriving, in fact, while far too many others in their in-person cohort fell behind. I look forward to helping to continue this same kind of across-the-board success for your families' scholars, as well! Can't wait!
