Over the course of my career, I have held many positions - from waitress to lawyer to presidential campaign staffer. I graduated at the top of my college and law school class and passed the California Bar on the first try. Reflecting upon my varied jobs, I realize that inherent in each one is a responsibility to train and teach others. That responsibility, simultaneously humbling and exhilarating, is where my passion lies. I love using my education and experience, coupled with multimedia tools and tricks of the trade, to help others reach their full potential.

I help law students make "A's," plain and simple. I have hundreds of hours of tutoring, and I have devised a system that is readily available to students to aid them in the reason that they are reaching out for tutoring in the first place -- making "A's." In addition, I have also written a book available on Amazon, "Beating the Law School Curve," that acts as a supplement guide for the 1L student just new to law school.

I obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University, a master's degree, in Criminology, from Florida Atlantic University and a bachelor's degree, in Criminal Justice, from Florida International University. I am currently an attorney in Florida. Prior to becoming an attorney I was a Florida State Trooper. In my law enforcement career I was assigned to Road Patrol and transitioned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence. I am also bilingual and fluent in Spanish.

I am a graduate of Rutgers University, double-majoring in History and Political Science and minoring in Art History. As an undergraduate student at Rutgers, I completed Education courses and also had the privilege of conducting field research at local elementary schools for the Early Childhood Literacy Development program. After college, I received my Juris Doctor from Seton Hall Univ. School of Law and have studied law in Italy at the Universities of Milan, Parma and Genova-Nervi. Shortly after graduating from law school and becoming a practicing attorney, I started my own solo practice. I enjoy teaching History, Law and Government, and the Tagalog(Filipino) language. Having a solo practice allows me to have a flexible schedule and teach on my free time, which not only is my true passion but it also allows me to give back to the community and interact with people.

I am a 22-year criminal justice professional and licensed attorney in the State of Missouri. I received my Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 2022. I have experience in law enforcement and state-level fraud investigation management.While in law school, I achieved Dean's List status in every semester in which I was eligible to receive the honor. I also received recognition for academic excellence in Torts, Criminal Procedure (Investigation and Adjudication), Disability Law, Client Counseling, and Child Advocacy.I returned to the classroom to pursue my law degree 19 years after I received my undergraduate degree, so I have a passion for assisting adult learners who are returning to the classroom after a lengthy "pause" to achieve their educational goals. I enjoy tutoring most in the areas of criminal law and procedure, evidence, and torts.

But that passion extends to teaching, too, and I love being able to share my education and understanding with others.I am a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, earning a bachelors degree in Communication Studies. I continued in that subject matter at the University of Iowa, where I earned a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Communication Studies, with emphasis in rhetoric, interpersonal communication, and persuasion. I also earned a J.D. at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and am a member of the Minnesota bar.I have been teaching and tutoring for over 15 years. I have tutored in small group and individual settings for students taking the LSAT, GRE and Bar exams. Additionally, I have significant experience teaching college classes, including communication theory, public speaking, interpersonal communication, and research methods.Particularly in cases of test prep (but also as a general guideline), I like to focus on a student's strengths, not weaknesses. I evaluate to see what kind of thinking a student employs and teach them how to identify and answer those questions. Then we look for ways to use those strengths to address other questions and build up expertise from that. I have found that this helps students feel confident about their own intelligence, able to improve in challenging areas, and create a long-term learning strategy.

I am a lawyer, an English major, and former educational administrator who recently started a business. I live in Brooklyn and I'm originally from Jacksonville, Florida. I've lived all over the country in Los Angeles, Chicago, Florida, and NYC. Formerly I practiced bankruptcy law.I have passed the bar exam in three states via self-study on my first try for each: California (2015), New York (2020 UBE), and Illinois (2007). On the UBE I scored in the top 8 percentile. During the past few years I've taught numerous students how to pass the bar exam in many states.I am also skilled with essay writing, composition, editing, test taking strategy, literature, reading comprehension, and all areas of government/civics and law.

For five years, I taught in the Music Business program at Belmont University. While being able to tutor a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about Public Speaking, English, Literature, History, Law/Government, and both Creative and Academic writing. One of my favorite things to do is helping students not only get better in a particular subject area, but also help them be better students by developing their own method of topical understanding, subject matter comprehension, and overall studying habits.
