Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"For our first session, the student and I focused on different areas of Geometry that he felt uncomfortable with. Namely, problems related to angle size and proportion. We worked from the beginning of the book, breaking down easier problems and then building up to a problem that he could not answer. By the end of the session he was able to easily answer the problem that he had been stuck on. He did a great job and stayed focus throughout. He was also very polite and eager to work."
"We worked on his assigned homework on right triangle properties. We also reviewed Pythagorean's theorem and its applications. He finished his Physics homework early and we reviewed his work on calculating velocities and accelerations utilizing given equations with time and distance variables."
"We went over the student's homework assignment involving special right triangles and sin, cos, and tan ratios of right triangles. We went over how to solve sides of a right triangle given an angle and a side, as well as how to solve for the angles of a right triangle given two sides."
"Today we went over the assignments that the student's teacher has assigned for homework this week. He has a lot of tennis practice this week after school, so he wanted to get ahead. We completed four separate homework assignments for the coming week. We went over similar triangles and the theorems as well as the postulates that accompany them."
"The student and I had a cumulative review over trigonometry. We worked different triangles, inverse trig problems, and practical application problems: "How tall is this building because this other building is X high?," etc."
"The student worked through homework on similarity of shapes. He reasoned through each problem well, as usual. His focus is to search for solutions and to check his work for accuracy to catch any mistakes."
