When it comes to achieve the goals and complete the given task, US Army teaches soldiers great planning, patience, enthusiasm, passion and mission readiness. I am Army Veteran. I appreciate and thankful for every great day I spent and served for this great country.I volunteered to teach Accounting to soldiers and their family members at Barton Community College where I met so many amazing people! I felt so happy and satisfied assuming sense of responsibility that I am giving my contributions to something really big, somebody's future! and this is the reason why I take my teaching job very seriously.Accounting is a language of business and should be taught very carefully as it is a very vast subject containing examples and situations from the business practices, you can relate this beautiful and interesting subject with any business even any activity which is undertaken to earn profit/loss.Most of the time people confuse Accounting with Maths, which is absolutely not correct. My great teacher used to say "Accounting is nothing but concepts and principles" and "Assets=liability+capital" and trust me I can prove it from any book of Accounting in the world.

I am a graduate of The University of Alabama where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Finance (summa cum laude) and Master of Arts in Economics. I also am Eagle Scout and hold the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. I have worked and traveled the globe, including time spent in institutional money management at Citigroup and UBS in London, England as well as in entrepreneurial hedge fund management across America (CA, CT, AL). Along the path, I taught college-level finance classes to acclaim and CFA exam classes. I currently mentor several professionals and am tutoring one for the CFA Level 1 exam. I am also an expert in all aspects of the GMAT. I enjoy teaching the most when I see the light of understanding turn on in the student and not just academically but with real-world applicability whenever possible (especially regarding investing). I listen to the student's needs within the context of the exam in question, explain the complex in easy-to-understand terms, and seek feedback. In my other time, I engage in reading (mostly sci-fi), writing/speaking (articles/books) and arithmetic (manage hedge fund strategy). I am also an officer in Mensa US and serve on the board of the Spina Bifida Association of Northeastern New York.

I am from Nashville, Tennessee but have lived in seven different states all over the U.S. I currently attend Brigham Young University and am loving it. I enjoy the one-on-one interaction I get with people when I tutor. Watching people really understand and be excited about learning is what makes it worthwhile for me. The key is to spark the fun and excitement of learning within the student. I have tutored primarily middle and high school students but am comfortable with any age. I tutor many subjects, but am especially proficient in the areas of test preparation, math, and Spanish. I took several AP classes, was on the honor roll, and was blessed to receive a full-tuition National Merit scholarship for college. I currently have an open major but am leaning toward a degree in finance or information systems. I am fluent in Spanish thanks to a two-year mission for my church. Because of this I am now part of a Hispanic volunteer group helping children learn to read more fluently. I played rugby and football, and I love doing things outdoors, whether it be hiking, going to the lake, skiing, or backpacking. I have also traveled to many parts of the world and enjoy having new experiences and learning about other cultures.
