Following this, I took a break from classroom teaching (as my husband and I decided to grow our family) and pursued individual tutoring opportunities in English composition and music instruction. I am now in my third year at a small elementary school where I oversee all curriculum and provide instruction in 3rd-6th grade math, Latin, and English composition.When I'm not teaching, I write historical fiction set during the Middle Ages and the British Regency and do copy editing for a small press that my husband and I co-own.

I'm a recent graduate of Northwestern University, a native New Yorker, and a recent addition to Varsity Tutors. I grew up in Westchester County, where I volunteered as an assistant creative writing teacher in high school. After high school, I moved to Evanston, Illinois for school. I studied a wide variety of subjects in college: from Medieval Literature to Buddhist Psychology. I moved back to New York after graduating to pursue a career in the arts. I currently work as a reader for the literary director of an Off-Broadway theatre company.

I am currently a student at the University of Oklahoma who has a minor in French and plans on obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and then my Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
