I graduated from both Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and Webster University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Special Education minor as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling and an MBA. I have over 20 professional years advocating and giving a voice to the issues plaguing communities, 10 years in the classroom as a Substitute Teacher and countless years as a tutor.
I have extensive experience with learners who have other contributing factors which hinder them academically. It is my belief all students are able to achieve academic success and I work tireless to identify strategies to assist them in overcoming hurdles. I tutor a broad range of subjects and age groups; I would say I get most excited about reading, writing and study skills strategies. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling around the country, engaging in community art projects, walking and curling up with a good book. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and very active in numerous volunteer activities.
