I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Chicago with B.A.s in economics and philosophy. I have extensive experience tutoring students of all ages as I have worked at Kumon with kids aged 6-15, taught financial literacy at a high school (14-18), tutored in the SAT, and tutored college students (18-20). I specialize in tutoring in the SAT as I have extensive test prep experience and test taking strategies. I believe that practice makes perfect and my method includes doing practice problems and learning concepts and strategies along the way if students have problems in specific areas. Outside of academics, I enjoy powerlifting, exercising, and cooking. I'm passionate about education and love working with students.

I am a graduate of Wayne State University. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. I have obtained my CPA certification working at PricewaterhouseCoopers where I achieved the position of Manager in the Business Assurance field(auditing). Currently I am pursuing my MBA/MSF from Walsh College.

I am a graduate of North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology at N.C. State and my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language with a minor in Education of a Foreign Language for Kindergarten through 12th grade. Since high school graduation, I have traveled to Brazil, the Bahamas, all through the United States and even lived in Costa Rica for a summer. I have tutored a variety of students ranging from elementary school to Spanish-speaking adults. While I tutor a broad range of students, I am most passionate about the Spanish language. In my experience, students tend to find a foreign language class nerve-wracking and intense. I am a firm believer that education can be fun, and that learning a second language broadens anyone's opportunities in life whether it be traveling or finding an awesome job! My favorite things to do in my spare time are reading, doing anything crafty (sewing, refurbishing furniture, etc.) , working out, meeting friends for coffee and laughing with family and friends.

I am a recent graduate from Washington State University Vancouver and received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. I am pursuing a certification in Medical Laboratory Technology in the next few years. I can tutor all subjects, but I am skilled and passionate about math and science. I received high grades in all of my math and science courses in college and often helped my peers with homework and studying. I feel that I am a good teacher because I am patient and communicative, especially when working with children and young adults. I believe in using visuals and a calm composure to aid students in arriving at the right answer themselves, and feeling good about it. In my free time I enjoy dance, yoga, and cooking.

I have a passion for teaching math and science however, I also enjoy teaching reading and writing. I recently obtained my Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and I got my Bachelor of Science in English with an emphasis on Professional Writing from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls prior to law school. My passions lie with writing of all kinds, which led me to study writing extensively through undergrad and law school. My experiences tutoring other college-age students also helped me discover a passion for helping others develop their own writing skills. My main goal in tutoring is to help the student learn the skills necessary for effective writing so that they can improve their skills and become a more independent writer over time. And because I love writing, I also want to create an environment where the writing process can be enjoyable and fulfilling. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, riding horses, and baking.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Education from the University of Texas at Austin. As a high school teacher, I focused on Biology and Environmental Science and as a middle school teacher I focused on Physical and Earth Science. I am most passionate about tutoring science and helping students understand how to ask questions and develop procedures to answer those questions. When working with students one on one I make sure to evaluate their current knowledge and make sure there's a strong foundation on which we can build. I especially enjoy using visual and hands-on tools to help make abstract principles more concrete. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, crocheting, sewing, cooking and learning new things. Learning is a lifelong pursuit and I enjoy finding ways to make learning fun.

My goal is to provide students with as much knowledge as I can through the subjects that I am best at. I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Natural Sciences including a disciplinary base in Psychology, concentrations in Neuroscience and Chemistry, and a minor in Sociology. I will be starting a M.S. in Counseling Psychology program in January. I am available to tutor in Biology, Psychology, Algebra, Neuroscience and other subjects.
