I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Hampton University. I am currently a Research Technician at Emory University. Using my expertise as a Research Technician to explain how chemistry works conceptually and in theory makes me a well rounded tutor in this subject area. This experience revealed to me what I already believedthat people are inherently good. We simply need the right set of circumstances in front of us in order for our best selves to shine. And every once in a while, some of us need second chances.Since my career goals are vested in civil rights and equal opportunity, and discrimination generally, I have facilitated various presentations for homeless veterans, parents, school workers, and students on their rights and opportunities to advocate for themselves. This semester, I was elected as the 1L Section Representative and joined the Child and Youth Advocates, situations which have exposed me to the work lawyers can do to promote the rights of students.
