About Me

Anyone can learn mathematics, but it is easy for students to get overwhelmed. Far too often, I hear people say "I hate math", convinced that they are bad at it. But what I've often found is that students simply need another way of viewing the problems. Sometimes, the student needs help breaking down and organizing the problem. Other students need help visualizing the problem and understanding exactly what it is the problem is asking. This is accompanied with many graphs and charts. As a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University studying Applied Mathematics, I am often asked by friends to help them with their math homework. I have spent countless hours teaching calculus to engineering, computer science, physics, and economics majors. Being one of seven children, I have been helping my sibling with math for as long as I can remember. I believe that a solid understanding of mathematics is crucial to success, and the demand for people with quantitative skills is only growing.
