I elected to become an educator because I view literacy as something which can never be taken away from a person. My alma mater is Thomas University and I graduated in 1995. As an Early Childhood Educator in Georgia, I taught PreK - 5th grades for 15 consecutive contracts beginning in 1999. I was recently granted teaching certificates for "3 year olds through 3rd grade" in both Florida (2017) and Indiana (2020). Teaching both Reading and Writing are my favs and my biggest "kick" is seeing a nonreader's light bulb turn on! I treat students as individuals and provide learning opportunities according to their learning modalities: Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic.

To prepare for my education career, I have worked extensively with various student and family protective service agencies, school districts, and community agencies. I worked closely with a diverse group of mentally, physically, and emotionally abused children, adolescents, and parents during that time. Also, I have co-founded two Christian schools in the state of Pennsylvania. I reside in Atlanta, Georgia, and I graduated from the California University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Education, Grand Canyon University with an M.Ed. in Special Education, Liberty University with an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, and Amercian College of Education with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
