About Me

I first became passionate about math when I was in 1st grade and would race my friends through addition problems. Eventually, I felt I had mastered addition and moved on to subtraction and multiplication until I had basically finished the 3rd grade math curriculum by the time I got there. Since then, I have loved and excelled in math. So much so that I decided to major in Math during college and will graduate with a BA in Math in May 2015. I have taken all high school mathematics, all of calculus, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, modern analysis, group and field theory, and number theory as well as classes in logic. I have had some formal tutoring experience with students in high school and some of my fellow students in college, and I have tutored many informally throughout my education. I really like helping people understand math and fall in love with it like I did. Whenever I was studying math, there was always an "Aha!" moment when something makes sense and clicks. I really like seeing that moment in my students eyes especially when they realize how cool math can be.
