About Me

I am so excited to meet you and your family! I am a mother of two fabulous teenagers! I am a very energetic mother and teacher that loves to run, workout, and garden.i am currently a first grade teacher at a STEMS charter school in Ft. Worth. My background in teaching consists of a very successful career at a college prep school in inner city Houston. Prior to Houston, I worked in many private schools. I have over 20 years experience in teaching children. I know as a teacher that my students are only going to be as excited about learning as I am! My students come to class every day with enthusiasm because I am fortunate to be doing what I love and I enjoy going to work every day. I get to shape and mold the minds of my students through my enthusiastic approach and through my high expectations of my students. I create a very safe environment for learning so that my students feel safe in taking risks and so that they can successfully meet the expectations I put before them. I look forward in continuing my effective teaching style next year when I teach second grade! I am honored to share my gifts as a teacher with your child individually as their tutor. I have many unique and exciting ways of getting your child where they need to be and beyond in reading, math, and writing. My goal is for your child to fall in love with learning, to be excited about learning, and to have the confidence to achieve in the area they may need help in.
