About Me

I graduated from Emory University in May 2015 with my BA in History and French. I am continuing my education at Columbia University's School of Social Work to receive my Masters in Social Work. I have had experience tutoring high school French, elementary/middle school math, science, social studies, and English/reading. My tutoring philosophy is based around the concept of being patient. It may take a student a while to understand a concept, but the moment when he or she does, it is extremely rewarding for the tutor, the parents, and the student. I like to instill confidence in my students as well as help them understand the academic lesson at hand. The best experience of my life was when I studied abroad in Paris during my junior year of college. I loved traveling around Europe, visiting museums, gardens, and historical sites, meeting the people and learning about their culture, and of course, trying the food. I learned about being independent and confident. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, and exercising. I look forward to working with you!
