As a teacher and graduate student, I have the background and the teaching ability to impart other students with the skills and knowledge they need to improve their academic performance. This past year I taught 9th grade geology and 10th grade chemistry at Tilden High School in Chicago and volunteered to serve as a tutor for underprivileged students in Revive’s Homework Help Program. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics in May 2013 and am currently a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Ma.M.Ed.) program at Depaul University. My background in math, along with my teaching and tutoring experience, will allow me to help my students understand the content of their coursework and develop analytical abilities. I'm a former basketball player and am currently an assistant coach for Tilden High School's varsity basketball team. My other hobbies include music, movies, and football.
