About Me

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Educational Studies and a minor in Political Science. I had two years of teaching experience with Breakthrough Collaborative as well as relevant undergraduate coursework to supplement my tutoring and teaching background. Next year, I will be a Teaching Assistant in Geometry with Blue Engine at Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and Technology. Although I tutor a broad range of subjects (from Math to English to Test Prep) I am most passionate about English and Writing, because I really enjoy editing essays. For both my tutoring and teaching style, I like to let the students' knowledge gaps guide the sessions and I adapt to focus on weaknesses and ultimately strengthening understanding overall. My biggest love in life is swimming, and I played water polo for seven years in high school and college. My absolute favorite thing to do is curl up with a book on the beach, and in my free time, I also enjoy doing crossword puzzles.
