- I consider myself both a microbiologist and a chemist.
- In 2007, I graduated from Arizona State University cum laude with a major in microbiology and minor in chemistry.
About Me
Most of my college years were spent working in various laboratories dealing with bacteria, fungi, and viruses and using advanced microscopy techniques to visualize them. As an undergraduate, I was the recipient of a Teaching Excellence award for a Teaching Assistant position I held for a Microbiology Lab, which was an expected but great honor for me to receive. I have held two very different chemistry based jobs (one that I am currently in now) since graduation in which I test drinking water and foods for a vast array of microbial agents and chemical compounds that are dangerous to the public. Using my experience in both academics, research and in my career, I have been able to tie in real world problems and solutions to students I have taught and tutored, and hope I can do the same for you!
