I'm an English grammar and writing tutor. People come to me for help with grammar and spelling errors, and ideas. It is my passion to write. I am a graduate of New Mexico State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. My studies there included extensive physics and computer science coursework as well.While in college, I tutored many fellow students, which is how I got my start with tutoring. Since then I have tutored all ages of students, both in-person and online, in many math, science, and computer coding subjects. My tutoring style is interactive. For any student whom I teach, the goal is always that the student is able to work the problems and explain the steps. As professors of mine said when I was in school, "Math is not a spectator sport", and "You can't do physics without a calculator in your hand". When I teach, the student does as much of the work as he or she can; if stuck on something I will provide hints as needed, and I will only take over and complete a problem as a last resort.My personal learning style emphasizes understanding over repetition, although I am very aware that this is not true for everyone - many students require substantial repetition in order to gain confidence and mastery.Most of my spare time recently has been directed towards the development of a mathematically-oriented computer game, which I hope to publish within a year or two. In addition to game development, I also enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and playing chess.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Electronic Engineering with an emphasis in robotics. After graduation, I taught Robotics and Mathematics to students at various high schools to prepare them for national contests. Then, I traveled to South East Asia, to do an MBA in Finance and Banking with a full scholarship.I am also the founder of cultural community to bring students from different part of the world together.I was hired as a full-time lecturer in the business faculty at Limkokwing University and for four years, I taught Math, Economics, Finance and Business Statistics. I was voted best lecturer in the Business faculty by students for seven consecutive semesters. I received a scholarship to study for an MA in Economics from BGSU while tutoring students in Math and Economics for one year. I was then hired as a Business Analyst at the United Nations to work on ODS. I am passionate about teaching Math, Finance, and Economics. Helping struggling students prepare for exams is a very rewarding experience. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.

I graduated from the University of Delaware with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education.I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I spent a lot of time tutoring elementary and middle school students in reading and math. I also led two summer programs in which I facilitated STEM and teamwork activities with elementary aged students. Since graduation, I have spent two years teaching 5th and 6th grade English Language Arts in Boston, MA. I really enjoy working with my students to adapt my instruction in order to make it work for them. I believe education is really individualized-- every student learns differently and I am passionate about delivering instruction that is fun, engaging and relevant to each student! While I have experience tutoring and teaching many subjects for elementary and early middle school aged students, I really enjoy teaching math and reading. My goal is to make my students feel confident in themselves and in their ability to learn, and also have fun doing it! Outside of work, I love to run, hike, and paint.

I am also an accomplished pastry chef with an interest in low sugar baking. I am excited and inspired by learning and continue to be a student of pastry, music, Spanish, Italian, Latin dancing, and cooking.My strength as a tutor lies in my ability to analyze a student's data and use it to craft a personalized study plan.
