I am a graduate from Suffolk University with a BS in Computer Science. I am currently beginning a career in software design with a focus on mobile applications. My main passions are Mathematics and Computer Science, although I have a strong academic background in several areas including English and the physical sciences. I have been tutoring since high school and have experience working with all ages in a number of subjects. I have the most experience working with high school and middle school students in mathematics. My other teaching experiences include tutoring in English and computer skills in an ESOL classroom for refugees, as well as private and group violin instruction for children of all ages.I believe that Math comprehension is absolutely essential to a successful education. As a tutor I focus on presenting material in a number of ways to accommodate all learning styles and making material relevant to the student. Helping students overcome the anxieties that so often accompany learning Math at the earliest and most crucial stages means helping students think about the material in a way that is meaningful to them and teaching them to relate Math to their own lives and interests in a way that fosters a passion that lasts far beyond the day of the big test and hopefully for a lifetime.Although my main focuses are standardized test preparation and Mathematics, I also tutor Chemistry, Physics, Reading Comprehension, Essay Writing, Grammar and a number of other subjects. In my free time I love playing with my computer, reading, practicing my violin and all sorts of outdoorsy activities.

I am a rising sophomore at The Ohio State University where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and will also pick up a minor in Entrepreneurship and innovation. I love art and being creative and I also love math and science so I am hoping to combine my passions working somewhere as a design engineer after college. Before Ohio State, I graduated from Springfield Highschool where I was the valedictorian. I am very passionate about education and learning because I believe it can really empower people to do and be anything they want, and use their knowledge and creativity to make the world a better place. I love to help and teach others, and, although I can tutor in multiple subjects, I am most passionate about physics and math. I have ample experience working with younger kids, and am also experienced with how to work with highschoolers and older students and teach to AP and standardized tests as I took them not too long ago.

Hello, I am a senior undergraduate at The Catholic University of America. I major in International Relations and have a double minor in International Business and Latin American studies.I recently completed my study abroad at the University of Oxford which is comprised of a personalized tutoring system that inspired me to get back into tutoring. When not passing my time sleeping outdoors waiting for assorted basketball tickets as a "Cameron Crazie," I study Evolutionary Anthropology with fortunate access to Duke's fascinating lemurs and primates. My aspiration since my matriculation at college has been to pursue medicine, and I have just recently finished piecing together my application for medical school. Naturally, having just finished studying for the MCAT, I have a particular expertise in science of all kinds ranging from Biology and Chemistry to Physics. However, having also taken many AP courses in high school, I have a thorough working knowledge in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Spanish, and Psychology. I have tutored all throughout high school and also have previous experience working with Mad Science of Long Island teaching general concepts in science to younger students of ages between 5-12 years old. In my free time, I am an avid soccer player and music fanatic (particularly alternative/independent rock). Along this journey, I chose to focus my study on neuroscience and obtained a Ph.D. in this field. Now, I work in the biotechnology industry: writing patents for universities, emerging biotechnology companies, and inventors alike. I am a high school Spanish Teacher of 9 years who lived in Spain. I currently teach in a bilingual kindergarten class. I have taught beginning Spanish to advanced levels and created the AP curriculum for my former school. I got engaged in Puerto Rico and married in Mexico. I love to eat Mexican food, travel to Spanish speaking countries, and help others learn about the Hispanic culture and language. My teaching methods are communicative and content based.
