I'm in a good position to talk about how certain concepts are used in the real world. I'm also a huge bookworm and offer SAT Critical Reading prep as well as general tutoring for writing. My hobby is creative writing and I'm currently writing up parts of my dissertation for publication, so I can help with writing from literary analysis to history research papers to the writing aspect of lab reports. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm playing the hammered dulcimer and teaching myself to code in new languages.

I am currently a senior attending the University of Notre Dame, and I am pursuing a degree in the Program of Liberal Studies (PLS). PLS is a renowned Great Books program that aims to perfect the student's ability to think critically in a variety of disciplines, such as literature, philosophy, and history. In PLS, great emphasis is placed on formulating deep and effective arguments and presenting them clearly in a technically correct manner, both in class and through my written work. Consequently, I have had much practice writing and editing my own work as well as editing that of my classmates. I am also pursuing a minor in education and am seriously considering pursuing a career in the educational field after graduating. I am passionate about helping others learn to the fullest extent of their abilities while enjoying the subject at the same time!
I am an experienced Mechanical Engineer currently trying to make my way into the product design arena. I recently moved to Oregon from Michigan in pursuit of this goal! I have always loved and had a skill for math and physics. This was only strengthened through two degrees in engineering.
I am applying to medical schools to attend Fall 2016 and I like to play basketball, go backpacking and volunteer with youth in my free time.
I'm a candidate for a B.S. in Business Administration at Northeastern University. In addition to tutoring, I enjoy playing the tuba and learning about transportation engineering/planning. I'm also fully Japanese and can read, write, and speak the language. As someone who scored 1530 on the SAT and 800 on the Math II subject test, I'd love to assist you in preparing for college!
I am currently a senior at Oregon State University majoring in mathematics and statistics. Math has always been interesting to me, and I naturally like to work through math problems with people of all ages.
I am a 2014 graduate of Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, NY, where I majored in Cognitive Science and minored in Spanish/Hispanic Studies. In college, I played two years of DIII lacrosse, sang in an a cappella group, studied abroad for a semester in Madrid, and was the co-chair of my major committee. With a faculty member in the physics department, I worked on a project analyzing the intersection of physics education, cognitive science, and contemplative practice (e.g., meditation). My senior thesis was a critical evaluation of the goals and results of neuroimaging studies purportedly studying "the self."
I am a recent graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering with a minor in French. During my time at CU, I studied abroad in Paris, as well as being a Teaching Assistant for Chemistry, Biology, and Fluid Mechanics for engineers and often helped my peers with homework. During the summer and fall I teach percussion for a local high school marching band. While I tutor a variety of math and science topics, my favorite subjects are chemistry and physics, as I love exploring the ways in which the world works. Education is of the highest importance to me, and I wish to share this passion with my students. In my spare time, I like to read suspense novels, play a variety of string instruments, and play Legend of Zelda.
I'm originally from the great Northwest. I moved out to New York originally to take advantage of an exciting opportunity to work towards the development of a safe and effective vaccine for the HIV virus. I've stayed because of the vibe of excitement and competition in the city. It truly does push you to be your best. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the ever-changing NYC landscape, stumbling about the internet learning whatever it has to teach me, studying politics both as an art and a science, as well as my guilty pleasure of watching the NFL and the occasional Newcastle game.
I am the tutor for you! I received my undergraduate degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Oklahoma with a minor in French. I have taken many rigorous courses in creative writing, essay writing using MLA and APA styles, and journalistic writing using the AP Stylebook. My special interests in French are poetry, literature, and phonetics.
