About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Thought and Political Economy. In the fall, I will be attending the University of Chicago for a Masters of Science degree in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, I received a fellowship to study Chinese language and culture in Xi'an, China. While there, I participated in language exchange programs where I tutored my peers in English. I've also spent extensive time in the United States tutoring SAT prep and English as a Foreign Language. In addition, I've helped students ranging from Middle School to High School in subjects like Math, Social Science, Science, and History. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Math. I enjoy working through problems with my students and helping them figure out the best way for them to learn. I believe education is one of the most powerful tools available to any individual. I currently work at an NGO that specializes in international education for development. Currently, I am working on livelihood education programs in Liberia and the Philippines. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, art, video games, and going to concerts. I also love the outdoors, and try to go rock climbing, hiking, and biking whenever I can.
