I am a driven, positive, affirming tutor who is happy to help students in any way he can. I graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2020, and I obtained my Master's in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2022. In 2016, I received an SAT score of 1550. That year, I also received a 5 on my AP exams in Calculus AB, English Language, U.S. History, and U.S. Government. I am happy to tutor students in mathematics, English, and social sciences (e.g., history, government). I especially enjoy tutoring pre-algebra and algebra. I believe in a practice-based approach in which I take students step-by-step through the concepts at hand. After practicing together with my guidance, the student will soon be able to apply what they have learned on their own.

I'm a junior at MIT pursuing a B.S. in Computational Neuroscience, and a B.S. in Philosophy. Starting in high school, I have served in a multitude of teaching/tutoring roles, including: tutoring all levels of high school math (from pre-algebra to AP Calculus BC); teaching a six-week class on psychology to underserved high school students in the Boston area; teaching chemistry, biology, and computer science at a STEM summer camp to 6th-9th graders; working as a TA in a college-level philosophy seminar; and even teaching choreo for a hip-hop dance workshop series! And, though my teaching experience centers largely around STEM subjects, I also have a deep love for history, English, and philosophy, and am excited to work with students in these areas as well. In general, I have an intense passion for learning anything and everything, and my top goal when working with any student is to ignite their own curiosity, and awaken their inner desire to understand themselves and the world.

I am currently a student of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). I am working toward a Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences degree with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology. Since my high school years, I have worked tirelessly through the community, tutoring my peers in my school's magnet program and children with learning disabilities for a nonprofit organization dealing with autism research. Though I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most interested in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In all my years as a tutor, I have always tried to stress the importance of education in changing one's life to my students, being a firm believer in the power of knowledge and education's role in bringing out the best of people. In my leisure time, I enjoy running, tennis, pleasure reading to enrich my mind, and playing the ever soothing melodies of the piano.

I'm a sophomore at USC studying Biomedical Engineering. In high school, I maintained a 4.0 GPA while participating in organizations like Mu Alpha Theta so that I could tutor struggling math students in subjects ranging from Algebra to Calculus III. Seeing how comfortable I was in the environment really made an impact on me, and I want to continue that experience tutoring through Varsity Tutors both online and in person. Students I have tutored before in math and standardized testing subjects tell me that my strategies and quick methods for arriving at solutions saves them a great deal of time and energy as they take their exams, which reaffirms my passion and love of tutoring. In my classroom experiences, I found that sometimes the methods that were taught were just too confusing, so then I either created or looked up better ways that secured a better grade for me in the class; the idea that the same problem can be solved in many ways is an idea I try to impart in all of my students so that they can feel comfortable using a process they picked out instead. In my free time, Iove to watch movies, play Super Smash Bros, listen to new music, and read articles on Flipboard.

I am a freshman Computer Science major enrolled in the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. I have a passion for teaching students, and I am experienced with having to give one-on-one guidance in teaching many concepts. Tutoring is very rewarding for me because I am driven to help others and give whatever knowledge I have gained over the years in every field. I also have experience dealing with situations in which students are not quickly or readily grasping concepts, and I have developed the patience to handle these situations. Teaching is just as rewarding for the student as it is for me, because I am thrilled when I see others achieve, and I would love to be part of the process. In addition to high school AP courses and test prep, I have taken college level multivariable calculus, linear algebra, physics electricity/magnetism and mechanics, computer programming (c++, matlab, LISP/Scheme), Dynamics of Systems, and Mechanics of Systems.

I am a recent graduate from Tufts University with a major in International Relations and a minor in Economics. I have been helping students since I was in middle school working with students of all ages from kindergarten to college. Prior to spending four years at Tufts, I attended a boarding school in Massachusetts where I was committed to tutoring middle school students at a local Boys and Girls' Club for all four years. I always enjoyed seeing the energy of younger students who were eager to learn and their visible improvements. I also worked as a teaching assistant for an SAT prep center where I tutored SAT verbal and writing along with SAT II literature and math. I moved to Las Vegas a few months ago after finishing up college, and I would love to get back to working with students on a regular basis because I understand the importance of education and enjoy helping and seeing results. My favorite subject to teach is SAT because with the right help it is a standardized test that can see huge improvements in scores. Writing section is especially my forte because I think that grammar is the basic building block of the English language that deserves a little more attention in school. I feel a great sense of fulfillment when students start to understand the different structures of English sentences and appreciate such knowledge. In my spare time, I like to stay active and go to yoga classes, including antigravity yoga, and drive to national parks for fresh air. I am also a big foodie who enjoys regular trips to different restaurants with friends and an avid movie fan. I look forward to meeting with students here in Las Vegas!

I am currently studying for my Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I tutor my peers at the university level, but enjoy working with younger students as well. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I love tutoring Math and English! I find that students develop an appreciation for Math and English when they thoroughly understand these subjects, and it is my goal to develop this understanding in each of my students.
