The student and I had a great session. She just had a Chapter 2 test and so we decided to look ahead into Chapter 3. It turns out they will be learning the imparfait, so I decided to try to give her a head start on this difficult new verb tense. She completely understood it in one session. It was great!

Today went very well. We talked about words for conveying emotions and sickness, using them to describe images of people and acting out a scripted conversation. Then we looked at a French poem and identified the emotions in the poem.

Today we composed a dialogue that will be presented in the student's French class in front of her classmates. She already had a rough draft of what she wanted to say, and she included a great deal of the vocabulary from her current material in class. We also discussed how to memorize the many irregularities of the French language, specifically with verb conjugation.
