I am a graduate of Rowan University with a B.A. in Performing Arts. I am a Classroom Aide at the 3rd and 4th grade levels. I strive for my students to succeed using methods that are personalized to the specific student's needs. My goal is to have my students excited about the learning process and help them with their confidence in succeeding.

I am originally from Atlanta. I recently completed an MFA in Creative Writing at Chatham University. I speak French at the advanced intermediate level, and have traveled extensively across Europe. I feel I have a lot to offer as a tutor of writing and literature.

I am a writer, journalist and professor. I also have extensive experience working with students of all ages as well as professional staff in large government, corporate and non-profit organizations. These include corporations, hospitals, government agencies and top officials in them. My goal for all of and myself has been: Let's Do Our Personal Best to Get Our Best Results.This doesn't mean a drill-sergeant approach to improving your writing, but more so a personal style of helping achieve your personal goals by alleviating your fears and frustrations while replacing them with confidence and a plan for yourself.In my 33 years as a college writing professor I have taught - and still do - in-person and online. The subjects include journalism, research and report writing, memoir writing, technical writing, business writing, creative writing fictional and non-fictional, short-story writing, constitutional law, political science, and historical/cultural analysis.I have been writer for the Associated Press as well as weekly and daily newspapers and magazines. I have a graduate degree from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University.

I am a rising Junior computer science major, biochemistry minor at Carleton College. I remember how important asking for help was when I was studying for exams and would love to assist students going through the same process. Although I am knowledgeable in many subjects, I am most equipped tutoring in college and high school-level computer science, college and high school-level biology, and SAT prep. During high school, I tutored my classmates in preparation for the SAT, and have two years of experience tutoring college students in computer science courses. I learn best when I understand the practicality and relevance of the material, and hope to instill those concepts in my lessons.

Teaching has been of passion of mine since I began college. Helping others learn the subjects that I used to struggle through is something I enjoy doing.I graduated from The University of Connecticut in Storrs with a degree in Biology. I started as a Music Teacher many years ago and when I came to the US, I got a Master's Degree in Cultural and Linguistic Diversity, with concentration in Hispanic Language and Studies. I have taught Spanish for different ages and levels at different Colleges for the last 13 years. You can be confident that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the Spanish language and Spanish and Latin American Culture.

I recently graduated summa cum laude from Emory University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while studying Environmental Science and Philosophy, Politics, and Law. I have extensive experience in tutoring and education, having directed multiple educational summer camps and tutored students and offered courses in chess and tennis. I also have three years of direct tutoring experience at the Emory Writing Center, where I worked with students from a variety of backgrounds on diverse writing tasks. Prior to Emory, I attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, taking courses like linear algebra, mathematical modeling, multivariable calculus, and advanced chemistry, biology, and physics. From an academic standpoint, I am ready to tutor in these topics, environmental science, philosophy, and writing. I recently received highest honors defending my 100-page thesis and am ready to work with students on in-depth research and writing projects. I am also prepared to assist students in preparing for standardized tests, having scored in the 99th percentile on numerous mainstream exams, including the LSAT, ACT, SAT, GRE, and PSAT. My success in standardized testing was a large part of my success in securing full-ride scholarships to Emory University, and now to the University of Pennsylvania Law School. I am from the Boulder, Colorado area, and graduated from the University of Colorado, where I studied English and business, while also completing a four-year study on ethical leadership. Additionally, I pursued Honors distinction through a study of James Joyce and interned with now U.S. Senator Mark Udall during his tenure in the House of Representatives. I worked with Crocs Footwear at their global headquarters as an account manager for five years in account management, before relocating to Austin, Texas, in 2011, when I began pursuing a career in education. I am currently certified as a teacher in Texas in six different subjects, including Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Business, and Special Education. I enjoy all of these subjects, but am particularly passionate about language arts. My philosophy of education centers around the learner in all aspects, teaching to the whole student and embracing what makes that student unique.
