Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed for physics final. We went over the review questions that were the most challenging, reviewing concepts of electrostatic force, charge equilibrium, magnetic fields, power, current, and basic circuit components."
"The client is in high school taking introductory statistics. His final exam is tomorrow. We went over all of the problems from his study guide and answered any extra questions he had from lectures in his class. He is good now with ANOVA, chi-square, t-tests, and probability."
"We worked on a logic game today, which introduced the student to diagramming. She is taking to it very quickly and, after I showed her how to do one each of sequencing, matching, and grouping, she took over with drawing out the diagrams herself. I assigned her some more setups to do before our lessons tomorrow."
"The student and I graded her reading practice section that she did for homework. She did very well on the section, and clearly demonstrated a coherent thought process, even on the questions she got wrong."
"We continued to review for the student's upcoming final exam. We focused on concepts of rotational motion (including torque, moments of inertia, center of gravity) and Newton's gravitation (particularly satellite motion). She seems to have a pretty good grasp of the concepts we covered today. I recommend that she continue to do challenging practice problems in preparation for her final."
"The student and I worked on a SSAT mathematics test on the website. He scored much better on this test than previous ones. We did error analysis on the test. His homework will be to continue to take multiple practice tests in mathematics and in the English areas. He will also be reading and accumulating vocabulary words for next visit."
