German Tutoring review by Lily in Summit, IL
We worked on the biology and history reviews by copying and pasting from previous notes while discussing the concepts. History will include a long essay with a choice of topic that was given. The student will prepare a rough draft/outline of what she wants to write on the test.

We covered different integration methods such as u substitution, trigonometric substitution, and integration by parts. The student just needs to work on memorizing the different processes and on memorizing trigonometric identities.

German Tutoring review by Mariya in Summit, IL
The student wrote a very short essay about his last day of school. Then he wrote down fifty words from the 2nd Grade spelling list. The mistakes were committed in the following words: "goes", "upon", "sit", "write", "always", "does", "before", "their" and "use". 8 mistakes out of the total of 50 words. He asked to practice spelling from the pre-primer spelling list. The only misspelled word was the word "little". He read the passage called "How To Return An Item" from the 3rd Grade textbook and answered some of the questions in the text. We will resume tutoring when he returns from camp.

German Tutoring review by Joseph in Summit, IL
Student 1 and I finally got to work today, beginning with some foundational discussion of the nature of calculus, and basic demonstrations and explanations of derivatives and anti-derivatives. We then went over some pre-calculus concepts with which he expressed past difficulty: the properties of exponents, roots, and logarithms. After student 1 and I finished, I spent some time with student 2. We first went over her homework, on which she showed improvement on every skill. As we finished, I gave both students homework for our next meeting.

German Tutoring review by Rachel in Summit, IL
The student and I finished covering the reading section. We practiced quickly previewing the questions for keywords to take note of in the passage, and reading through the passages quickly. We completed a couple passages together, and he also completed two passages himself in the designated time (9 minutes per passage). I assigned another reading section for homework and asked him to treat it like the real test, and to check over his work so that we can start covering the science section at our next lesson.
