We reviewed 4th grade math concepts for state assessment Math Testing. The student had a hard time finding complex areas. I retaught the student the strategies and skills using the area of a rectangle. He then completed a practice sheet. His attitude was positive, and he expressed that he felt confident for his testing.

Today was our last session. We made sure to study for her final and cover any topics that the student could not understand. We also reviewed the formulas for chapters 7 to 12 making sure that she knew them all during the test. I encouraged her to continue studying any topics she felt that she needed to review.

I went over the student's exam he recently took. We went over the mistakes, and I showed him some quick methods and the correct way to approach the problems. Then, I prepared him a selection of questions very similar to the exam questions he got wrong. He got the idea, and I gave him some good tips on how to do better for his upcoming exam.
