I've been a university professor for the past five years and have been tutoring for as long as I can remember. I began tutoring informally while I was still in high school, helping friends get ready for their SATs, helping them with assignments. I realized quickly that I was suddenly helping half of my school so I decided to make some fliers, and some money, and offer my tutoring to anyone and everyone in my hometown. Suffice to say, some odd years have gone by since then and now, even as a full-time professor, I find myself enjoying the experience of tutoring and helping students on an individual level enough to continue doing it. With a background in the sciences and mathematics, and a graduate degree in philosophy I'm incredibly well-rounded in terms of what I'm capable of teaching and moreover, have a generally positive pedagogical approach to everything; I really do love teaching. Even fields in which I have little experience become a contest with myself to master solely for the sake of helping a student. I have extensive experience in reading, writing, and editing (I've been published several times over as both head author and editor) and its something that I truly love to do. I currently hold three Undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Linguistics, as well as two Graduate degrees in Philosophy and Theology. From basic English to advanced Banjo I look forward to engaging in any assignment that anyone may have for me!

I am a UCLA Bioengineer. I am a well qualified tutor and have had many years of experience in both paid and unpaid roles from 6th grade to 12 grade to present. I have always excelled in academics, math, writing, and english and have scored well on all standardized tests and state tests. I have scored 800/800 in SAT 1 math, SAT 2 math. I have scored 760/800 in SAT writing. I received scores of 5/5 in AP Calculus AB and BC and have taken numerous other APs, passing the APs in Physics, Biology, Literature, Language and Composition, Environmental Science, Economics, US history, and Chemistry. I was the President of my high school's only tutoring club and only math club, Infinity Math Club, where I dedicated my time tutoring struggling students in all math levels. I was a tutor in my high school's RAMS program for all academic subjects. I love working with students and love to see them succeed in subjects that they once struggled in.

I am student who currently attends Yale University, with plans to major in/receive a degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics. My previous tutoring experience includes math tutoring for elementary school students, AP and standardized test prep for high school students, and tutoring students ages 3-18 at Kumon Learning Center. I tutor in all subjects, but prefer math and German. My tutoring style is organized and balanced, meaning I am both laid back in my teaching, but also very diligent about helping a student achieve his or her goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking a lot; I also enjoy traveling to different countries and trying exotic foods. I am an experienced and well-qualified essay coach, and a tutor in language arts and German. I also tutor students who are preparing for the SAT. I earned my B.A. in Comparative Literature from Columbia University and an M.A. in German from UC Berkeley, where I taught college German and received training in foreign language pedagogy. I love to learn, I am drawn to travel, and the experiences I have had enrich my work as a tutor. For me, tutoring is about more than making the grade or getting the right score; I always strive to foster insights and new skills that will help my students take charge of their own education.

I'm a PhD at Harvard studying German philosophy and classics (Greek and Latin). Next year, I will be starting law school to pursue my professional passion, tax law. My favorite moment with any student is when the student realizes how fascinating a subject matter is after really mastering all of the "dry" details.
