I am a graduate student studying Political Science and working on completing and defending my dissertation in the upcoming year. I also work as an adjunct professor, teaching both introductory and advanced level classes in my field. I have several years of experience as a teaching assistant, working with students one-on-one during office hours. My approach to teaching emphasizes active learning and I employ a number of strategies and methods to help students engage with and comprehend the subject matter. My main areas of expertise are in the social sciences and humanities. I am primarily interested in working with college and advanced high school level students. As an advanced level graduate student and college instructor, I feel that I can help students develop studying and critical thinking skills that will serve them well in their academic pursuits.
