For this session, the student and I focused on her exam, covering topics such as deriving trigonometric identities using the Pythagorean identity, reciprocal identities, and similar identities. She also was tested on calculating circumference and arc length using the velocity formula. She did well solving equations deriving her trig identities as a result of her earlier tutoring sessions.

We worked on long division today--within word problems and from just plain old numerals. He struggled at first with remainders, but picked it up by the end of the hour.

In today's session, we worked on a school project. I helped the student to read a history book, and found out the facts of colonial education that she can use in her school project. She is a very fast learner. In this session, she gained some research skills.

We went over the student's online college homework after going through the homework I gave him from last time. I feel that he is making progress. Today, I think he found joy in solving a difficult problem.

I had a great session with the student this evening. He worked on his history homework and then shifted to math. He's working with factorials, which may be a challenge, but I think he has a good start on the concepts.

The student and I completed corrections over her systems of inequalities test, which she scored a 61 on. She was able to complete most of the corrections independently. Her tests are timed and I see that it leads her to rushing during the test and make avoidable mistakes. We will continue to work on that.
