I am a graduate of Buffalo State College. I received my Master's in Adult Education with a focus on human development and foreign language (specifically Spanish & Italian). Since graduating, I've had the opportunity to teach Spanish, Italian & English to Adult Learners. I've had the opportunity to tutor students in a multitude of subjects; such as English, Spanish, Math, Science, ACT prep classes, SAT prep classes and preparation for College Essay Classes. I've taught students in grades K-12. I am passionate about inspiring and encouraging students of all abilities to reach their full potential. I am passionate about English, Foreign Languages and helping students prepare for tests. There is no greater feeling than helping others succeed.

I first developed this technique while completing my bachelors degree at Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone. On campus I became an informal German tutor, discovering a passion for language tutoring, and developing this natural, intuitive and effective method of language learning. During this period I gained fluency in another language myself using this approach. I began formal tutoring in two of the three languages I am fluent in as well as mathematics and economics during my undergraduate studies. I am now looking forward to gaining admission into a graduate program for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Contract negotiations. Outside of academia I am a very sociable person, happy to make new friends. My hobbies are soccer, pool/billiards, chess, movies, music, acting, dancing and singing. As a native speaker I will help my students to utilize the aforementioned techniques to learn German effectively and efficiently. I recently graduated from NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering with a bachelors of science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. During my time as an undergraduate student I volunteered for Women for Afghan Women, an organization designed to foster a nurturing environment to underprivileged women and children. I had the privilege of tutoring and mentoring these bright children who often come from troubled families. My work entailed not only helping them with school work but also helping them cope with the situation they're in. I also had the opportunity to tutor for the Polytechnic Tutoring Center, which provides walk-in group tutoring for students attending the University. I tutored General Chemistry for Engineers, General Chemistry 1 &2, and Physical Chemistry. I learned to tailor my efforts towards each individual student and see which method best suited them. I firmly believe that each student has the ability to excel in whatever they wish as long as they believe in themselves, a value I hope to instill in all my students. I am patient, passionate, and excited about meeting new people and learning how they hope to make a difference in this world. In my spare time I love to watch and play sports, in particular Football. My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra, pre-calculus, and geometry, but I also tutor other subjects within math, art, and computer science. I graduated in 2011 from Kennesaw State University with a Master of Arts degree in Writing. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Western Carolina University in 2008. I have taught first-year seminar courses as well as learning support English courses at Kennesaw State University; I advised students there for four years after graduation. I teach students who are new to high school and familiarize them with the writing process, and I work with them in reading comprehension, literary analysis, and advanced vocabulary. I am a college adjunct instructor as well and enjoy guiding those students toward becoming academic writers prepared for that specific discourse community. Those courses also focus on rhetoric and writing in all college disciplines. I prefer to tutor students who struggle with writing, and I enjoy seeing the improvement in my students. As a high school teacher, I am familiar with the requirements of the ACT and have experience working with students to improve their scores on the verbal and writing portions of the exam. Education is not just an abstract idea that I believe enhances personal experience and perspective, but it is also my passion and career. I'm a mechanical engineering student, minoring in physics and currently working in the nanomedicine cancer research.My tutoring expertise falls mainly in STEM courses such as Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Statics, Dynamics and Physics (since I work in the advanced physics lab my knowledge and experience is on the graduate level).I spent my teenage years flying airplanes and gliders, which showed me that I have a huge passion for STEM courses. I proudly maintain 4.0 GPA while working in the research lab, flying airplanes on the weekend, and still making time for my morning yoga and meditation.When tutoring, I always implement my time management and successful studying methods as well as college/career path advising, if requested.I have experience in working with disabled children that have trouble with reading and memorizing, so I am a great match with any student that have difficulties focusing.When I teach, I always provide multiple examples during and between the sessions. I maintain positive attitude and make the student comfortable with the subject, but I do want my student to spend at least 45min daily on the most troublesome topics.
