I am a graduate of Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. I received my European M.A. in Latin and Italian Philology. In the past, I tutored children and adults interested in learning Latin and Italian. Post graduate, I was a translator for an Italian company. I am Czech and Italian citizen. The past 15 years, living in Texas, I have tutored children at the elementary school. I was also the head coach of a Destination Imagination team that qualified for their Global Tournament. I am passionate about Latin derivatives, History, and Italian music. I love helping students learn new languages; opening their minds to new cultures they may never have experienced before. Through extensive worldwide travel, I am fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. I graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor's in International Marketing and Business. , My career has taken me around the world to develop and create footwear and consumer products for major brands. Passionate about education, I began teaching marketing, product development, accounting, economics, French and Italian in classrooms environment and online. I have continued tutoring and teaching in California to share my knowledge for students as well as industry events. I tutor a wide range of subjects, but I am most passionate about: -MATH -WRITING -BIOLOGY/CHEMISTRY I have experience in the classroom as a long-term substitute math teacher for middle and high school students. As a long-term substitute, I developed lesson plans, lectured, practiced with students, and graded assignments. Outside of the classroom, I also tutored private clients. I will graduate from the University of Arizona this upcoming spring. I am studying Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Professional and Technical Writing. Education is one of my passions! Many students struggle with math and I enjoy helping them to catch up and understand the "why" behind math concepts for the first time. I also love to help students write essays that they feel proud of. Regardless of subject matter, my goal is to always help students feel confident in their own abilities and develop a growth mindset. I strive to make a lasting impact on the students that I teach and tutor so that they excel for years to come!

I am willing to help a student reach higher grades, but more important to me than the grade is that the student is actually getting something out of what we are doing, and truly learning, not just retaining information, but engaging with the material and enjoying what they are learning. I am a Stanford student from Maryland studying Political Science and Computer Science. I graduated from high school in 2015, where I was active as the captain of my high school sailing team, a section leader in the orchestra, and part of the STEM magnet program Project Lead the Way. I am currently taking some time off from school to be around family here in Massachusetts and while I will be taking a few classes, I have plenty of time and lots of flexibility. I am excited to work with middle and high school students in math, reading and writing, social studies, and computer science. In addition to taking classes and tutoring this fall I will be volunteering in after school programs with low income middle and elementary school students.

I am also fluent in Italian; and have extensive advanced fluency in French and German. I picked up my language skills while working and traveling to over 65 countries. My extensive linguistics knowledge coupled with my teaching experience allows me to help students struggling with learning Spanish; or writing college essays, term papers, dissertations or articles for publication; or organization skills to improve academic performance. Because of my varied travel experience I find it easy to adjust to students experiences and learning gaps in order to show them how to utilize the knowledge they already have and build on that knowledge in order to attain greater skills.
