I am a bio-medical engineering student with a minor in mathematics at Arizona State University. I absolutely love science and mathematics and look for any opportunity to help others to understand why these subjects fascinate me. I am currently in my senior year at ASU; I have a 3.96 GPA, and I am married with two young boys. For the past two years I have been working for the University Academic Success Program at ASU helping students excel in math, physics, and chemistry. Those I tutor come from a diverse background and often require assistance with advanced topics within the aforementioned subjects. Prior to starting my academic path, I spent 8 years in the Army. Half of my military career was spent as an air defense coordinator, and the other half as a respiratory therapist. I have a very broad set of skills and life lessons that I fall back on when I tutor. In my youth I was disinterested in education, and I joined the military when I was 19 because my grades did not leave me with many other options. The Army gave me the opportunity to rethink how I look at the world. I want students, especially young students struggling to find meaning in what they are doing in school, to grasp the impact that education can have in their lives if they embrace it.

I took this job as a way to make some supplemental income to pay off student loan debts and work towards my future degrees. I will have my Portuguese Water Dog puppy Bruno (who is 4 months old) who I would like to train as a therapy dog to assist me within job as he has outstanding patience for those who do not have the confidence in themselves to go above and beyond in the classroom when it comes to academia.I look forward to helping your child succeed in any way possible!
