I have taught as a tutor during the summer with high school students for science enrichment. I have also taught science to elementary and middle school students. I love teaching students using hands on experiments and class demos. I try to keep the content engaging and as entertaining as possible. I went to the University of Saint Mary where I received a bachelors degree in biology. I also have a Masters in Secondary Education from Pittsburg State University. I can tutor all levels of elementary and middle school science. I can also tutor biology to high school students, which is my favorite subject. I enjoy teaching biology because it is truly the study of life in many different aspects from the cell to ecosystems. My teaching philosophy for science is to always try your best and that is all I can ask for. Education is the key to success. From a working family I grew up valuing education as a way out of poverty. Outside of the classroom I am interested in achieving a higher biology degree. I also work at Science City in Kansas city which brings science phenomena alive. I am also obsessed with animals. I have three pets at home and hope to continue to add more to my family. I have a bunny, snake and dog.

I participate in kickboxing, lifting and Brazilian jiu jitsu. I used to box with my sister when I was a teenager.
