I love test taking and am a recent Dartmouth College graduate. I have experience with 12 AP exams, SAT (99th percentile), GRE, SAT subject tests, ACT, english, and much more. I enjoy adapting to individual students study and learning styles and making work more efficient and productive. In my spare time I run obstacle courses like Spartan Races.

As I lay on a large rock across from delicate arch with seventeen other high school students, I contemplated the rest of my life. On that night, I decided that I wanted to study the earth and discover its history. During sophomore year of high school, I was presented with an opportunity to take a three-week summer earth science class, called Summer Earth Studies, which would survey the western U.S. using the earth as its textbook. That trip changed my life, as I realized that I wanted to study the earth and use inquiry-based learning methods to help every student learn.For the last two years, I have been teaching middle school science at Brandon Hall School in Sandy Springs. This has been a wonderful experience allowing me to challenge myself in many ways including interpersonally, curriculum and educational design, time management, and leadership. Brandon Hall is an international and local school with both day and boarding students allowing the faculty and students to interact with a wealth of diverse individuals on a daily basis. As a result of this working and living environment, I have learned how to talk to people from many walks of life from different cultures, backgrounds, ages, and influence. Teaching middle school has been a gigantic challenge calling on my problem solving skills and ingenuity every day to plan and execute lessons, deal with problems as they arise during these lessons, maintain decorum and a positive attitude during difficult days and with challenging students, and then reflect on the process and assess what succeeded and what needs to be changed during the next day, week, or month to allow both my students and I to succeed. This experience has prepared me to take on the next challenge with the skills to help any student succeed.

I am currently in the last year of my Ph.D. studies in Information Technology. I have my Masters in Business Administration focused on Management Information Systems as well as my bachelor's in International Business. I have over 10 years of experience in the Real Estate and construction world, almost in every field except new builds.

I began tutoring just after graduating from my undergrad program. I have picked it up again after just finishing graduate school--I'm now a Doctor of Chiropractic. I have been an athlete all of my life, and a coach for most--I have a coaching mentality and bring it to tutoring...I like to think I am a pretty nice coach ;)I'll try my best to bring as many tools to the table as possible, so we can work as a team to work through any problem that may arise.

I love exploring and finding innovative ways of doing things.My hobbies include painting, sewing, crafting, gardening and travel. I love animals and have had many, including some most exotic ones while I lived in Brazil. I don't like to watch TV, but I love music! I have a wide variety of musical interests.

In my public school education, I struggled myself with vision issues, which caused my education to dwindle, but it took one amazing teacher to ensure I found my way again. I hope to be the same for students.I received my bachelor's of arts from the University of Central Florida in English with Creative Writing. This degree qualifies me to tutor and teach grammar, spelling, writing, creative writing, and anything English related. On top on my bachelor's, I obtained my master's degree at the University of Alabama for English Literature in 2023. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Literature at the University of Texas-Dallas and a Rhetoric and Composition Instructor.Overall, I am a tutor looking to mentor students to their highest potential. I love to travel and another goal is to take an international trip this year, to Africa.My full time job is in marketing for a construction company. This has helped me gain some perspective on how hard it can be to learn new subjects you are unfamiliar with. I am constantly learning new things every day from people with completely different skill sets than me, and it's fascinating to work on such a diverse range of projects.My parents and two of my sisters are teachers, so I am familiar with many age groups and learning needs.
