Students who are being tutored are often having difficulty and may have failed, perhaps several times. What is more, they know they have failed and learning has become a chore rather than a pleasure. The student, who appears to understand a concept today, may be hopelessly confused tomorrow and ready to give up. Tutoring can be fun and can help school be an interesting and productive place! It is my job to present the curriculum differently, in a way the student can relate to and understand. I am enthusiastic and ready to try another way, using all the methods and media available. I am a resource for the student and others while consulting with parents and professionals. While teaching, it is important to be patient, endlessly creative, and up-to-date. I have these qualities.
