I am a current student at Marquette University. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and will be earning a bachelors as well as a masters degree in 5 years total. My focus on mechanical engineering and systems is due to my love of putting things together and drawing conclusions from physical representations. This was instilled at a young age as I had a deep love of Legos.

Graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 3 years and securing my Master's just a year later, I'm well versed in navigating the education system and getting the most from it. Since high school, I've been tutoring. Friends, family, personally, and professionally, I've run the gamut. While I have tutored almost every subject, I specialize in STEM and Standardized Testing. In my view, building academic skills and confidence go hand-in-hand, when you feel knowledgeable it's much easier to demonstrate that knowledge. I take pride in meeting my students where they're at, helping them digest the subject in a way that just 'clicks' for them.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I received Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and Linguistics. I have been able to pursue my passion for languages and literature in my career as well as my studies. I have taught English as a second language, critical reading, grammar, and academic and professional writing to students of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels, including incoming university students, business professionals in South Korea, and fifth and sixth graders in south side Chicago. I am especially excited when I get to help students work on their writing skills, and the breakthroughs my students have had in learning to express their own unique voices and perspectives clearly and articulately are some of our favorite teaching moments.

I am a current Master's Student studying Philosophy with a wide range of academic interests. I am passionate about teaching because I understand greatly a lot of the academic struggles and problems students may face through education, especially as a first generation college student. Currently I am studying for my medical doctorate degree (M.D.) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I graduated UCLA with a Biology degree with Asian Languages minor in 2019, cum laude honors. Both during my undergrad and days since, I had a chance to tutor private clients in Southern California and work for a few exam prep companies. I am a current sophomore at Brown University, where I study Applied Math and Urban Studies. I am a pre-Occupational Therapy student majoring in psychology with minors in neuroscience and art. I will be graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in May, and I will begin Washington University School of Medicine's Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Program this Fall. I am a graduate of the University of Delaware. I received my Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering degree and obtained minors in Mathematics, Economics, and Biomedical Engineering. Since graduation I've worked for a large diversified manufacturing company in one of their leadership rotational programs. Over the past 2 years I've moved from Hartford, CT to Charlotte, NC and currently reside in Milwaukee, WI. During this time I've been active in the local communities, volunteering up to 10 hours per week. Much of my volunteer work has been focused on helping adult learners in Math and English as they progressed towards obtaining their GED and also helping young learners in the same subjects. Also, in addition to my teaching experience at Purdue, I have been teaching a one week course in Shanghai yearly since 2008 to prepare Chinese Occupational Health and Safety professionals to take the Certified Industrial Hygienist exam and part of what I help them with are some of the tricks of the trade for successfully taking these types of exams. I also helped my daughter prepare for her GRE exam when her GRE Boot Camp program was suddenly cancelled my prep work with her helped her increase her math score approximately 100 points.
