I have six years of experience in biology, math, chemistry and several other biological courses. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Ohio University and obtained my master of science degree in physiology from Case Western Reserve University. I am devoted to continuing to master biology and sharing my knowledge to bridge the gap for others that find it harder to grasp. I am patient and have a unique teaching method. In addition, I am a visual learner and translate this into my teaching pedagogy. I use drawings, diagrams, flashcards, practice exams and quizzes to communicate new knowledge to students. I am a great listener and my sole concern is to understand a student's learning gap and find tangible ways to bridge it. Outside of academia, I am a biochemist for a local pharmaceutical company that synthesize various drugs that are currently in clinical trials. I am very friendly and outgoing. I enjoy indoor rock climbing, eating sushi and shopping.

I am a substitute teacher for Clark County School District living in Las Vegas, NV. I graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Art in Photography in Summer 2013. I will be attending UNLV for a Masters in Business starting in Spring 2015.I have taught at all grade levels K-12 and am also competent in working with special needs students. I am a people person who works well with many personality types, as well as a patient teacher. I have open availability to tutor students either in person or online.I am passionate about education and familiar with many types of learners. I am well equipped to tutor in English (Literature, reading, writing, etc) and in Art (History, photography, painting, etc).Other interests of mine include reading, puzzles (jigsaw, crossword, etc) and knitting. While I like teaching almost all subjects, Math and English are the ones I enjoy the most. I am extremely interested in teaching students and helping them achieve the goals they set out for themselves. It is so important for students to notice their own strengths and feel confident in their learning. Additionally, I am passionate about developing different strategies and techniques to teach students who learn at different paces. It is so important to respect and take note of the diversity amongst students to ensure no one gets left behind. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing in my sketchbook and baking. I also enjoy a good swim to stay a bit active.
