My teaching style will depend on how you as a student are able to process information. Using real-world scenarios is one of the tools I like to use in conveying information. We take as long as necessary to clear up any difficulties you may be having.

I am a graduate of the University of Arizona Global Campus. I obtained my Bachelor's in Education Studies. My experience includes working in a daycare center with younger children and I do have two children of my own. My main goal is to teach middle school students in Science and History. I am passionate about Science and History which are the two subjects I look most forward to assisting students with through tutoring. I would love to help students learn how to stay organized, provide helpful study tips, and improve time management. All students learn in their own unique way. I prefer to take multiple approaches and provide multiple formative assessments to determine how the students are progressing. I look forward to gaining experience as a tutor and I want to help as many students as possible.

Through continuous assessment, data analysis, and reflection I tailor my practice to ensure the needs of diverse learners are matched and high expectations are being met. I am a graduate from the University of Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence/Computing and Psychology. Throughout College and even in high school, I loved helping my peers and those around me achieve and found myself in many situations where I helped friends in one-on-one or group study sessions as well as joining a plethora of groups and associations that would connect me to students who needed a little extra help. My path in college allowed me to explore many different subjects in a variety of fields, but I find myself most passionate about Life Sciences, all levels of Math, Software Development in Java, Psychology, and Philosophy. I also enjoy aiding in the studying for Standardized Testing as I have always enjoyed the process of test taking and have acquired many skills and tips that could help anyone become a more skilled test taker. I believe education to be a cornerstone in becoming a fulfilled person in life, and this belief is what encourages and motivates me to help others further excel, prosper, and achieve all their goals in life. I believe everyone has the aptitude for learning anything they want, and I want to bring this talent out of all of my students to show them what has been hiding within all along.

Ankit graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a degree in International Political Economy and is currently in his first year at Washington University School of Law. In high school, he was a state champion in debate and got 5's on 8 of his AP exams. Ankit has worked for two US Congressmen and an international economics think tank in India. After law school he will be attending Utrecht University in the Netherlands for his LL.M. and hopes to practice international law.Ankit is an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspur, the NY Giants and Georgetown Hoyas. He also loves standup comedy and has performed at the DC Improv. In addition to his academic tutoring, he was a tennis instructor at Raritan Valley Country Club.

My goal has been to become an educator for over a decade now. I was inspired at a young age by educators in my favorite grade school subject throughout High School. Ever since, Ive wanted to leave marks of inspiration in other people. However, this is not my only objective.Ive seen fellow students struggle in the subject of Mathematics and as my experiences and awareness grew it seemed to me that the great teacher, the one who is able to communicate with a variety of people, were in short supply. My perspective on subjects allows me to view things in a variety of ways allowing me to create different methods of explaining the same problem. This skill helps me to find the most efficient descriptions of processes based on the student. Different people need different explanations for the same material. This has been proven time and time again from my helping with Calculus as a teacher's assistant to Statistics; as a teacher at the college level, to helping children learn fractions. My wish is to help students build a confidence through what they know and discover that they know more than they give themselves credit for.

I majored in math at Cornell University. I then went to law school and now write comedy for a theater in Manhattan. All the while I have been tutoring math at all levels from elementary to college level calculus. Due to my law school experience I have a very organized approach to my tutoring sessions; and due to my experience writing comedy I am able to have fun with my students and make them feel at ease. My students like working with me because they can tell that I care a lot about their success as well as their understanding and enjoyment of the subject matter.

I love languages and writing and want to help students develop their own interest and abilities in these areas. I'm fluent in Spanish and proficient in Mandarin. I worked with all the Spanish speaking clients as a paralegal at a law firm and lived in Nanjing China while I studied at Nanjing University. I'm also TEFL certified.

I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University. I received my Bachelor of Science focusing on psychology and a minor in substance abuse. Immediately after graduation, I began working as an elementary school teacher. When I taught full-time, I would teach all subjects. However, I am most passionate about teaching phonemic awareness and phonics because I enjoy teaching young students to read.In my experience, helping young students learn to read has always been the most rewarding and fun. I love preparing my students to become lifelong learners. It is wonderful to help students develop a growth mindset and see students get so excited when they can see and feel themselves learning to read and comprehend more challenging books.

I have been teaching at the elementary level for 25 years, working with special education students grades 1 through 5, and teaching in the regular classroom grades 4 and 5. I have also worked as a reading interventionist at the elementary level working with children who experience reading difficulties. I have also tutored students for several years in various after school programs.Outside of tutoring, I enjoy traveling to Europe, Mexico and the United States. Walking and biking are fun types of exercise for me. I also enjoy needlepoint, going to movies, and spending time with my new grandsons.
